Expedition Nambia
The rolling sand dunes undulated across the vast Namib desert for miles. It was a sight to behold and one I surveyed while on foot, horseback, and ATV. Traveling through the old mining ghost town of Kolmanskop, I made my way through the massive dunes of Sossusvlei and barren landscape of Deadvlei. I reached Swakopmund and sandwich Harbour, where giant mountains of sand meet the ocean. I encountered, lions, leopards, jackals, wildebeest, and the national animal of Namibia, the Oryx.
I was heading to Opuwo, my final destination and the home of the indigenous and unique people of Namibia, the Himba.
