La Paz, Bolivia, sitting at 3500m, is the highest capital in the world. Despite its thin air, and unforgiving headaches, it has a magical appeal that transcends not only the people but the majestic mountain views that gaze across a land of colorful closely packed houses, dotting ascending hills and rocky terrain. The people here are as used to the altitude as much as the occasional street performer. Nonetheless, here in the local square, I found it a perfect opportunity to stir the imagination.
