Kayaking the White Salmon River
The White Salmon River is one of my favorite rivers. It is located in White Salmon, Washington boasting class 2 – 5 rapids that flow into the massive Columbia River. The water is cold, due to glacier melt off from Mount Adams, providing a beautiful turquoise color that weaves through a rainforest covered in foliage, overgrowth and mossy canyons. The place is the epitome of the Pacific Northwest, and a place that is near and dear to my heart whenever I visit to paddle this mighty river.
